Chicago Bears have been adding some coaches to the staff with the most notable is Dennis Allen who is a former head coach at New Orleans Saints. New Bears coach Ben Johnson is looking to have experience in his staff and coaches who can relate to the players and build a new culture in the club house of positive reinforcement and focus on holding players accountable and put them in the best situation to succeed and not fail. This was lacking over the past three seasons under Matt Eberfluess. Look at this point, let’s all say we are adults here and these players want to win now. Bears GM Ryan Poles has one year to save his job and get this roster ready for a playoff run in 2025. So, with the new Bears coaching staff rounding out the Bears front office it is being smart getting this done as soon as possible, so everything is in place when the Free Agent period starts and then the Draft in April. In the next two and half months the Bears will need to make their roster decisions, and this will be based on Ben Johnsons plan for 2025.
Here is what we now going into the offseason and that is Offensive Line and Defensive Side of the Ball are the top priority. Caleb Williams threw for over 3541 yards with 20td and 6 picks not bad for a rookie and being sacked a league high 69 times. Ben Johnson will establish the run first and allow Caleb to become comfortable in the system. The Bears will focus on adding three new starters on the O Line. On Defense Dennis Allen will focus on using a 4/ 3 scheme and look to add some talent upfront on D Line and add pass rusher. The Bears will focus on improving special teams and get back to basics. As far as I am concerned, I am more interested in results and not speculating on what the Bears should be doing. Now that we have finally hired a coach who can get results let’s see what they come up with. Bear Down.
