How Together we can help continue to Work and Build our Democracy
Together we face tough times with the Government shutdown and with our nation being held hostage by the Republican Majority. Their agenda is unknown and a domestic policy that is meant to divide our nation rather than bring us together. Communities across America face fear and insecurity and this affects us all. American middle class the Majority in America wants us to be divided and not work together. There is a saying be Abrham Lincoln that stated a house divided cannot stand. This affects all of us. As a member of a blue collar family and the grandson of Mary Flowers my grandparents influenced me in how America is not a privilege but every day, we must commit ourselves to our freedom. My grandpa served Wiiliam Flowers served in Vitenam War. On my father’s side commitment to Kendall County and all their contributions with my aunts Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Catherine forging a place an honor with the Democrat Party. On my mothers’ side through my Grandpa Jack our family are the Hollenbach’s and as a young boy I remember attending with my family both sides when we were dedicating the Historical Court House and receiving from County Board President John Church my ribbon with my sisters and all my grandparents standing with me. Being a founding family through my mom and the service of my dad’s parents and their adoptive county and all the love they had for Kendall County. Being part of a Republican and Democrat families, we have come together, and we believe in the same principle of helping our shared communities. The best ideas of our democracy are through discussion, tolerance, and comprise that together we will stand against a majority who does not represent the principles of our shared communities here an Kendall and to honor my grandmothers vision of Oak Park of bringing leaders together and working towards the betterment of all and the quote the wants of the few will never outweigh the needs of the many. Together we can stand and give all Americans the opportunity to succeed and not fail please join me and invest in our shared communities.
