Panther Pride started with Commander Karl Hoinkes in 1990 with the win over Marion Catholic that was the launch of the Oswego Panthers with a coaching staff of Ken Pickerill, Dave Keeley, Chopper Babick all notable. The Focus was Karl on offense and Dave Kelley on defense and Coach Pickeral supporting all aspects of the program. With the Foundation in place the Pather Dynasty would go on to 30 years of promise. After 2 State Championships, 10 quarterfinals, and five Semi Finals appearances under three Coaches in that time frame. The Three Coaches of Karl Hoinkes, Dave Keeley, and Brian Conney have helped to build this local Dynasty. Current Coach Brian Cooney was the starting Coach was the starting linebacker on the first State Championship team. With Semi Final Appearances in 1991, 1992, 1999,2003 and State Titles in 1992 and 2003 the Panthers have positioned themselves as one of the best football programs in the State.

Now we are in the year 2025 and the Panthers have had yet another great season and with Saturday’s night win 10 to 7 over a very good Lockport team. Have punched their ticket to the State Championship game against Mt. Carmel in Bloomington next Saturday. As we add yet another Chapter to this local Dynasty that has been a Panther Family affair with the Coaches and players representing their shared history. With the new Chapter and for Coach Cooney his first time as a Coach heading down state carrying the history of the program the Panthers have made this a season to Rember and Good Luck at, they play for the State Championship. Thank you for the Great Season.
