Playnfield Players is excited to welcome the community to the second annual production of A Christmas Carol this weekend at Plainfield Central High School. Hopefully, you find the same warmth of the season as the Cratchit family does! Tickets are available online.

119th Street Update
The contractor is working on installing the box culvert along 119th Street. Please be advised that this work will impact traffic due to temporary, daytime lane closures. This work is expected to be completed the week of January 5 with various stoppages in work due to the holidays.

Holiday Reminders
• The Village Offices will be closed December 24-25, 2025 and January 1, 2026.
• Refuse and recycling collection will be delayed by one day due to Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
• Buckle up and drive safely! The Police Department is participating in the holiday enforcement campaigns through January 5. More information.

Christmas Tree Disposal
Waste Management will pick up live Christmas Trees and decorative greenery on your regular refuse collection day after the holiday. Please make sure that all ornaments, lights, and tinsel are removed. Larger trees must be cut so that each piece weighs 50 pounds or less and is four feet or shorter in length and width and tied with string.

To assist with the snow removal process, please do not shovel or blow snow into the street.
