Aurora News Lawn Care Help
Registration is now open for the City of Aurora’s Special Lawn Mowing Support Program! This program provides eligible seniors (62 and over) and individuals living with legally recognized disabilities who are in need with scheduled lawn mowing support from April through October 2026.
The window for registration will last from now until Thursday, February 12 at 4 P.M. Those that are aligned with the eligibility criteria mentioned below can register to be considered. Those approved will be prioritized based on greatest need and program service capacity. You will receive a letter in the mail before the end of March informing you whether you have been approved or not approved to receive service this year.
Eligibility Criteria for Consideration:
• You must reside within the Aurora city limits
• You must be 62 and over, or an individual with a legal disability living independently
• You must have a serious medical condition
• You must be financially unable to cover the cost for lawn mowing assistance
• You do not have anyone 62 and under living with you that can mow the lawn
• You do not have any nearby family, friends, or neighbors willing to help you mow your lawn
