Cubs have returned to spring training and with new Clubhouse leader Alex Bregman is changing the approach his teammates are taking towards preparing for the season. Cubs lost Kyle Tucker who signed with the Dodgers in the offseason and signed Alex Bregman to help replace his offense production. However, the Cubs also got a player who leads by example and is helping to shape the new culture in the clubhouse that will see the Cubs build on last season 92 wins and getting all the way to the NLCS before losing to the Brewers in 7 games.
With Bergman now in the Clubhouse the Manager Greg Counsel will now have some much-needed support to focus in how to teach his young club on how to win. The keys to this season will be Dansby Swanson and Saya Sutzuki will be setting the table for the Cubs offense. If they are having success both players need to hit 25 Home Runs and have a batting average of 275. What hurt the Cubs in the playoff was not being able to score runs. They need to focus on manufacturing runs with the likes of Ian Happ and Nico Horner to help get on base and steal bases each player needs to steal at least 25 bases.
Pete Crow Armstrong and Michel Busch are the power in the lineup, and both players need to hit 30 homeruns and give the Cubs the diversity to help score runs. Now let’s add Bregman to the equation and he should put up 30 Home Runs and Drive in between 90 to 100 RBI’s and with his experience the Cubs will have a new dynamic that lacked last year and that is in the self confidence in themselves to win and move forward this season
So we will continue to see the Cubs evolve this Spring and get ready for a fun 2026 campaign.
