April Business of the Month
April 2026 BOTM
The Village of Oswego and the Economic Development Commission are proud to recognize DeMont Guitars as the Oswego Economic Development Commission’s Business of the Month for April 2026.
Located at 61 Stone Hill Road in Oswego, DeMont Guitars specializes in the restoration, repair and sale of vintage guitars and parts. The business also manufactures DeMont Pickups and partners with renowned Japanese guitar manufacturer Guyatone to produce high quality guitars and effects pedals.
Owned by Oswego High School graduate Nate DeMont, the business began as a hobby before growing into two commercial spaces in Oswego. DeMont Guitars is also committed to sustainability and local craftsmanship, using locally sourced materials from the Fox River area and recycled metals in its products.
We congratulate DeMont Guitars on being selected as the April 2026 Business of the Month and thank them for their continued dedication to the Oswego community.

Hydrant Flushing
Hydrant Flushing
Hydrant flushing began earlier this month and will continue for the remainder of the month.
Look for posted signage at the entrance to your neighborhood for specific work dates in your area. On days when crews are actively flushing hydrants near you, please plan ahead by completing laundry before 7 a.m. or postponing it until after 6 p.m. to reduce the chance of temporary water discoloration affecting your clothing.
Why is hydrant flushing necessary? This process sends high volumes of water through fire hydrants to help clear out naturally occurring iron buildup inside water mains. This helps maintain water quality, prevents discoloration and protects water meters from potential damage. It also improves circulation in areas where water movement is limited, such as dead-end water mains, ensuring fresher water throughout the system.
Community Yard Sale
Yard Sale
The warmer days ahead are bringing something special back to Oswego, and now is the perfect time to start thinking ahead.
The Community Yard Sale returns June 5 and 6, turning neighborhoods across town into a weekend-long treasure hunt. From gently loved furniture to unexpected one-of-a-kind finds, this is where forgotten items find new homes and new stories begin. It is part spring clean out, part summer adventure and all about community.
Registration is closing May 22, and it will be here before you know it. If you are planning to participate, now is the moment to start sorting through closets, garages and storage bins. One small clean out today could be someone else’s perfect discovery tomorrow.
Click here for registration details and get ready to join in one of Oswego’s favorite traditions of reuse, connection and a little bit of thrift-driven fun.

This year would not have been possible without our sponsors. We are truly grateful for their support in helping bring this milestone event to life and for making the celebration one to remember.
