Online Census Survey Ends Today
Plainfield - Today is the last day to complete your online survey!
Only 43% of the community has completed their Census survey and the online portal closes tonight! Please complete your survey today!
The next phase of work will begin in September when Census Bureau representatives begin visiting homes to collect data. Residents who were unable to complete the online survey will receive a visit from a US Census Bureau representative. During the visit, they will complete a brief interview (less than 10 minutes). The Census Bureau is expected to complete their survey work in November. For more information regarding in-person enumeration, visit the Village website.
Cycling Race
The Commercial Street Criterium Cycling Race will take place this Saturday, August 23, in Downtown Plainfield. The event will feature several competitive cycling races around the Village Green. For information regarding race road closures and parking, please review the Police Department's event press release which includes a map of the course.

143rd Street East Extension Update
Despite rainfall slowing progress earlier in the week, the contractor continued work on the bridge and retaining wall, and also installed storm sewer between Naperville Road and IL 126.
Next week, the contractor will continue work on the bridge, retaining wall, and storm sewer and resume work on the IL 126 pavement. Project website.

Health & Wellness Fair
Residents are invited to attend the Senior Health & Wellness Fair on Wednesday, August 27, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, 15120 Wallin Drive. The fair is designed to help connect seniors to a variety of services and resources in and around the Plainfield area. For more information, click here.

Community Blood Drive
The Village is hosting a community blood drive on Monday, September 15, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., at Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport Street. Blood that is collected will go to area hospitals to help those in need. Please make an appointment to donate by registering online. Walk-ins are welcome.
