143rd Street East Extension
Concrete paving of 143rd Street between Naperville Road and IL 126 is anticipated to begin (weather permitting) on Thursday, May 21 and continue the following week. There are several thousand cubic yards of concrete involved in this work. As a result of this quantity, the workdays will be longer than usual. The newly poured concrete will need to have controlled contraction joints saw cut into the surface. The saw cutting work will occur overnight as soon as the concrete can support the equipment and manpower. This work will take time and is by its nature, loud. The Village appreciates the patience and understanding of the surrounding property owners while this crucial work takes place.

As part of the ongoing work for the Village's ADA Transition Plan, data collection will begin next week throughout the community. You may notice a Baxter & Woodman surveyor in your neighborhood using a mobile device to record information in the public right-of-way. The survey team will be using a digital data collection tool that helps identify and document accessibility features such as sidewalks, ramps, and crossings. All work will take place within public areas. This survey work will continue throughout the summer.
