Oswego Lantern Fest
Lantern Festival
Before lanterns light up the Fox River this fall, the community is invited to help bring the magic to life through lantern-making workshops held throughout the summer and fall.
Then, on October 17, join us for the first-ever Oswego Lantern Parade, a new fall tradition celebrating light, creativity and community. As the sun sets, participants will carry handmade lanterns from the Oswego Public Library to Hudson Crossing Park in a glowing riverfront parade.
The evening will continue with the Oswegoland Park District’s first-ever Night Market at Hudson Crossing Park, featuring live music, drinks, local vendors, food, a professional pumpkin carving demonstration and lanterns glowing along the Fox River.
Parade participation is free and residents are encouraged to join a workshop and create their own lantern before the big event.
