Concerts & Movies in Settlers' Park
Head to Settlers' Park for lots of summer fun beginning next Friday, June 12. The Village and Plainfield Park District will be showing Zootopia 2 (PG, 108 minutes). The concert series kicks off on June 18 with a performance by Sealed with A Kiss. Then, on June 26, Lilo & Stitch will be playing on the big screen. Concert & Movie Schedule.

Please bring a chair. In case of inclement weather, Evening with the Mayor will be held in the Village Hall.

North Riverfront Path Public Meeting
Get a preview of the proposed North Riverfront Path Extension! Join us on June 11, from 5-7 p.m., to learn more about the proposed path connection between Downtown Plainfield and the Pace Park-n-Ride. The project includes new ADA compliant path connections, scenic overlooks, and safety improvements. Stop by Village Hall and share your feedback!

Boulevard Place & Costco Entrance Traffic Signal
The traffic signal poles and mast arms have been installed for the new signal at the Boulevard. The contractor will continue to work on traffic signal wiring as well as the concrete median, sidewalk, and curb. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of the summer. There will be daytime lane closures throughout the duration of construction.

143rd Street East Extension
Significant progress was made on the 143rd Street East Extension over the past few weeks with mainline pavement and turn lanes being substantially completed on 143rd Street from the DuPage River bridge to IL Route 126. Work also continued on the installation of lighting and traffic signal foundations, conduit, and landscaping. Next week, the contractor will install curb and gutter and medians along 143rd Street and complete the bridge median and parapet walls. Project website.
