As we enter into the month of October it is important to realize just how fortunate we are to have so many carrying supporters that want to see Diabetes Awareness be raised here in our viewing area and thank you to the supporters. This fall we are asking the following local municipalities to please pass a resolution to help support Diabetes and raise education and awareness for this important cause. We are asking about the following communities of Oswego, Montgomery, Yorkville, and North Aurora, and Kendall County. We are also reaching out to the Kendall County Health Department. Proclamation For Local and County Governments
Whereas 1.5 million Americans are diagnosed as having Diabetes
Whereas, as nation crisis exists and needs our undivided attention.
Whereas, 95,000 people will die this year from Diabetes
Now, Therefore, I (mayors name) of the city of (fill in the blank), and on behalf of the entire city council, I do proclaim (date) as Diabetes Awareness Day
We encourage all citizens and residents to join in raising awareness on how important it is to get check for Diabetes and seek treatment to control this, so numbers do not go up.
