Sox Seasons Comes to an End
October 10, 2026. A big day for Chicago or Cleveland? Tonight was a winner takes all situation. The Sox, a 6 seed, was not expected to be in this game, or anywhere near it. October is a special time in baseball. Strange things can happen. It was raining in Cleveland and fans in the 2nd inning were seen fleeing the rain to not get wet. Could this be a sign of good luck for the Sox? When the Cubs won the World Series it rained, game stopped, came back, and won it all. I know this isn't the World Series, but it is a Championship setting, nonetheless.
To start it off, Cleveland drew first blood with a two-run home run in the bottom of the 4th inning. The Sox had a hard time recovering. The White Sox bats were on silent mode all night. The Sox lose 2-0 and their fairytale season ends. The Sox are a young team with a fantastic future! I am looking forward to seeing what they do next Season. Congratulations to the White Sox! Chicago is proud of you. Champions or not.
